2026 Mack Pickup Truck, the legendary name behind massive semi-trucks for over a century, is finally jumping into the full-size pickup segment with the 2026 Mack Granite Hauler. Yes, you read that right – the same company that builds those giant highway beasts is now coming for Ford, Ram, Chevy, and Toyota. The first official photos dropped yesterday and people are losing their minds. This thing looks angry, muscular, and ready to tow your house.

Design

The 2026 Mack pickup doesn’t whisper – it roars just by sitting still. Up front you get a massive chrome grille taller than most people, flanked by sharp LED headlights that look like they’re glaring at you. The hood is long, sculpted, and has actual functional air vents because this truck needs to breathe. Fender flares are huge, wheels start at 20-inch and go up to 24-inch “dually” style in the back on higher trims. It’s available in wild colors like Inferno Red, Midnight Coal Black, and a new Matte Desert Tan that looks killer. Overall length? Over 240 inches on the crew cab long-bed version. This is not a truck for tight parking lots.

Engine

Under that massive hood sits real American muscle. Base models get a 6.7L Cummins turbo-diesel pushing 450 hp and 1,100 lb-ft of torque – enough to pull a yacht uphill. But the king is the optional 8.9L Mack MP10 inline-six twin-turbo diesel making an insane 605 horsepower and 1,850 lb-ft. Yes, you read that right – 1,850 pound-feet! It’s paired with an Allison 10-speed automatic that was literally built for 18-wheelers. 0-60? Around 5.8 seconds when fully loaded. That’s faster than many sports cars while towing 18,000 pounds.

High-Tech

Step inside and it feels like a luxury suite on wheels. You get 14-inch vertical touchscreen, real wood and aluminum trim, heated/cooled/massaging seats, and a 20-speaker B&O sound system that rattles windows. There’s even a built-in 360-degree camera system with underbody view for off-road, plus Mack’s new Haul Mode that automatically adjusts suspension, transmission, and exhaust sound when you hook up a trailer. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and over-the-air updates are standard.

Mileage and Price

Even with all that power, the EPA says the base Cummins model will hit up to 24 mpg highway when empty (real-world around 19-20 mpg). The big MP10 drops to about 17-18 mpg highway but who cares when you can tow 35,400 pounds? Starting price is $68,900 for the base Pro trim, while the loaded Granite Hauler Platinum with the MP10 engine stickers at $112,500. First deliveries start summer 2026.
